Brave Wang
Hi, my Chinese name is Wang Xiangyong. My hobbies include music, reading, and sports. Once during a basketball game, my friend nicknamed me "Brave". Ever since then, everyone has called me Brave.
Since my parents served in the navy when I was little, we kept moving from one place to another. Through the traveling, I have made new friends, and I'd like to play with other kids.
I began to learn some instruments during my education and became proficient in flute playing, and then I became the impresario of our school orchestra which became the famous Beijing Golden-Sail student orchestra years later.
My major in the university was chemistry which I felt boring, so I made full use of my spare time to hang out with foreign teachers and students to play music, some of whom became very close friends of mine and even members of our band. That was an awesome life, my English and music ability improved very fast.
I chose to work as an English speaking tour guide and worked hard to get my tour guide license. I really like this job, for I am confident and willing to communicate with others. I'm looking forward to more challenges in the future, for I'm Brave.

Zhang Yan
I am Zhang Yan, an English speaking tour guide. As a local Beijing girl, the plain courtyards witnessed my birth; the thin lanes recorded my childhood. My life has been following the fast development and great changes of this metropolis, and my growing-up has experienced the past and the present of this capital city. To this land I was born in, I have a strong attachment and a sense of pride. It is English, a universal language that helps me set up a bridge between those who are fascinated with Chinese culture and me, a girl who is ready to help them to discover this ancient land. It is my tour knowledge that enables me to share with them all about this city and my deep love of my hometown. Beijing, in my eyes, is not only glorious in its life, but also mysterious in its history; it has romantic charm of the ancient and also young vitality of the modern. I have a dream that through me, more and more foreign tourists can achieve better understanding, stronger affection, and more respect to Beijing, to China, to our culture.
