Here, we have a solution, our summer culture tour will avoid the hassle of Beijing in this summer, while include some exotic areas of China such as: Guilin, Yunnan and Chengdu. Without Beijing included, your clients can still learn Chinese traditional culture in depth, and we will make this tour a memorable summer vacation for them.
The itinerary:
2008 Summer Culture Tour

Day 1 Arrival / Hong Kong
Upon arriving in Hong Kong, a vibrant metropolis, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Day 2 Hong Kong / Guilin (B)
Enjoy a day of exploring in this dynamic city by yourself until your afternoon flight to Guilin, the most scenic city in China, where our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Day 3 Guilin (B, L, D)
The highlight of any tour to Guilin is the cruise down the tranquil and picturesque Li River. Along the river, you will be inspired by the breathtaking peaks and pinnacles, crystal-clear water, and serene pastoral rice paddies and water buffaloes. You will feel like you have stepped into a traditional Chinese landscape painting. The boat will arrive in Yangshuo in the afternoon, a small county of Guilin. After getting the chance to stroll through its famous West Street, you will be driven by private vehicle back to Guilin (1.5-hour drive).
Day 4 Guilin / Kunming (B, L)
Today's excursion will bring you to Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin, followed by Fubo Hill, where you can have bird's-eye view of the whole city from the peak, followed by the Reed Flute Cave, filled with stalactites & stalagmites illuminated by lights of different colors. You will then take an afternoon flight to Kunming, "The Spring and Flower City".
Day 5 Kunming (B, L)
A full-day trip to the Stone Forest will show you a natural wonder of limestone karst formations formed over 270 million years ago.
Day 6 Kunming / Lijiang (B, L)
Take a morning flight to Lijiang. Upon your arrival at Lijiang, you will have an excursion to the Ancient Town, home to over 22 different ethnic minorities, and the Lion Hill where you can enjoy a bird's eye view of the ancient town and the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the distance.
Day 7 Lijiang (B, L)
On this day you will have a full day tour to witness the unique scenery and culture of the Lijiang area. First you will go to visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, followed by a trip to the Baisha Mural Paintings, and the Black Dragon Pool Park.
Day 8 Lijiang / Kunming / Chengdu (B, D)
You will fly back to Kunming, where you will transfer your flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival at Chengdu, you will be met and transferred to the hotel for a rest before a delicious dinner of Sichuan food at a local restaurant.
Day 9 Chengdu / Wolong (B, L)
In the morning, drive about 2 to 3 hours to Wolong Nature Reserve -the home of the Giant Pandas, after checking in the hotel and lunch, visit the Giant Panda Museum and Giant Panda Garden, where you can get very close to the cute animals and get a better understanding of the Giant Panda.
Day 10 Wolong / Chengdu / Chongqing / Embark Cruise Ship (B, L)
You will be taken back to Chengdu, where you will take the afternoon train to Chongqing, where you will be escorted to board your cruise ship to begin your cruise down the Yangtze River.
Day 11 Yangtze Cruise (B, L, D)
On the first day of your cruise, you will have a shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City, which shows China's ghost culture, and it is a place for punishing the devil and awarding the good.
Day 12 Yangtze Cruise (B, L, D)
On this day your cruise ship will sail through the first of the famous Three Gorges, the Qutang Gorge. It is the most dramatic gorge with peaks up to 1,240 meters high along the rolling river. Your ship will then continue to the Wu Gorge, which is the deepest and most mysteriously beautiful of the three Gorges. In the Wu gorge you will disembark and board smaller vessels for the unique shore excursion to Shennong Stream, a small tributary of the Yangtze that is famous for its picturesque scenery, crystal clear water,steep ridges and peaks, thick vegetation and wild flowers, flying birds, plank road built along the cliffs and the ancient hanging coffins. After reboarding the ship, you will enter Xiling Gorge, the longest one of the Three Gorges with many ancient temples hidden amongst the crags.
Day 13 Yangtze Cruise / Disembark Cruise Ship / Yichang / Shanghai(B, L, D)
You will get a chance to tour the massive Three Gorges Dam project, the largest hydroelectric dam in the world, after its completion in 2009, the water level in the reservoir will rise to 135 meters above sea level. Your cruise will be finished at Yichang, where our local guide will meet you and escort you to the airport for your flight to Shanghai, China's most cosmopolitan city.
Day 14 Shanghai (B, L, D)
Enjoy a thrilling day of sightseeing featuring Shanghai's unique charm. Visit the elaborate Yu Garden and bustling Yuyuan Market. Later in the afternoon you will visit the Jade Buddha temple which houses an exquisite milk white jade Buddha brought to China in the 19th century by a Chinese monk. Your thrilling day will be concluded with a wonderful Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.
Day 15 Shanghai / Departure(B)
Depart this ancient land with a lifetime of unforgettable memories.
