Brief Introduction:
China and Egypt are two countries renowned for their glorious ancient cultures. This tour combines the best of these two amazing countries. Visit Egypt's must-see sites including the pyramids and sphinx, Egypt's ancient capital city, and Sakkara, home to the oldest pyramid in Egypt. In China you will visit the magnificent Forbidden City, the stunning Great Wall, the metropolis of Shanghai, Suzhou and its famous classical gardens, and Hangzhou, home to one of China's most famous tea. This tour showcases some of the best sites and allows you to see what makes these ancient cultures so magnificent.
Trip Highlights:







Day 01: Arrival/Cairo (D)
Special Dinner: Nile Dinner Cruise
Upon arriving at the Cairo International Airport, your guide will meet you and escort you by private car to your hotel to relax until the evening, when your driver will take you to the dock for your Nile Dinner Cruise. You will cruise down the Nile River on a large ship watching the city of Cairo pass by while enjoying a fantastic dinner buffet. After dinner you will be thrilled with a folklore performance followed by belly dancing. After the performances, feel free to go to the upper decks to enjoy the fresh night air and the beautiful city lights. After your cruise your driver will pick you up and take you back to your hotel.
Day 02: Cairo/Memphis/Sakkara (B, L)
After breakfast you will be driven to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient world, the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. You will then be driven to the Sakkara Necropolis home of the famous Step Pyramid, the earliest Egyptian pyramid. After visiting the necropolis, you will be driven to Memphis, the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom. You will visit the giant Statue of Ramses II and the 80 ton Alabaster Sphinx. After your day’s adventures you will be driven back to your hotel.
Day 03: Cairo/Beijing (B, L)
In the morning your guide will meet you and help you check out of your hotel. You will then be taken to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to 5,000 years of art and the treasures of King Tut. In the afternoon you will be taken to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, famous for its brass and copper wares, perfumes, leather, silver, and gold. In the evening you will be escorted to the Cairo International Airport for your flight to China.
Day 04 Beijing
Upon arriving at the Beijing airport, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or explore China’s capital on your own.
Day 05 Beijing (B, L, D)
Special Dinner: Peking Roast Duck
In the morning you will visit Beijing’s magnificent Forbidden City, which is the largest palace structure in the world and the place where China’s emperors ruled for over 500 years. In the afternoon, you will marvel at Beijing's splendid Temple of Heaven, where China’s emperors annually went to pray to heaven and for good harvests. In the evening you will be taken out for an incredible Peking Duck Banquet for dinner.
Day 06 Beijing (B, L)
On this day you will visit one of the most amazing architectural feats in the world, the majestic Great Wall (Badaling Section). After your visit to the Great Wall you will be taken to the Chang Tomb and Sacred Road of the Ming Dynasty. The Sacred Road is a path lined with stone statues of animals, mystical beasts and officials who will serve the emperors of the Ming Dynasty in the afterlife.
Day 07 Beijing (B, L)
After breakfast, you will visit some of Beijing's Hutongs by rickshaw. Lunch will be served in one of the local's homes during the tour. In the afternoon you will visit the exquisite Summer Palace, the imperial summer resort of the Qing Dynasty. With its perfect design, magnificent buildings, and enchanting landscape, it is the largest and most splendid classical garden in China.
Day 08 Beijing/Shanghai (B)
On this day you will be free until your local guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon your arrival at Shanghai, China's most cosmopolitan city, your personal guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or step out into this amazing city for an adventure on your own.
Day 09 Shanghai (B, L)
Unique Cultural Performance: Acrobatic Show
Your tour in incredible Shanghai will begin with a visit to the Shanghai Museum, arguably the best museum in China, followed by a stroll down the famous Bund and Nanjing Road, the number one shopping street in China. In the afternoon you will visit the magnificent Yu Garden and Yuyuan Market. In the evening you will be stunning by the artistry of Shanghai’s Acrobatic Show.
Day 10 Shanghai/Suzhou (B, L)
In the morning, you will take the maglev train to the city of Suzhou. Your tour in Suzhou today includes: the classical Humble Administrator's Garden, one of the most famous of China’s classical gardens. You will then visit the ancient Tiger Hill Park and its Tiger Hill Pagoda. You will then cruise down th Gerand Canal past ancient houses and shops. You will then visit Suzhou’s gorgeous Pan Gate scenic area before visiting the No.1 Silk Factory. In the evening you will take the maglev Train to Hangzhou. Upon arriving in Hangzhou your guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel where you can relax for the evening or explore Hangzhou on your own.
Day 11 Hangzhou (B, L)
On this day you will begin by cruising around the West Lake, a lake filled with legends. You will then visit Feilai Peak and Lingyin Temple, the largest and wealthiest Buddhist temple in China. You will then visit the 18 Imperial Dragon Well Tea Trees, where Dragon Well Tea was first created, followed by a trip to the Six Harmonies Pagoda, which offers stunning views of the surrounding area.
Day 12 Hangzhou/Departure (B, L)
On this day you are free until your guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
